SPECIAL OCCASION SPONGE PUDDINGS

We have a range of ‘Special Occasion’ sponge puddings. They are made without compromise, ingredients are extravagant, flavours are intense. They are designed to need no accompaniment other than cream and/or good vanilla ice cream.

They are all ambient products with at least a four month shelf life. At the moment we are producing them in a 290g size. This fills the same basin as our 454g plum pudding and gives four good portions. They actually cost even more to produce than our plum puddings but for simplicity we are pricing them exactly the same as our 454g Ultimate plum pudding.

For retail we have a stylish black wrap with striking labels illustrated with specially commissioned linocuts. Our retailers comment that they look brilliant on their shelves. They also make a dramatic hamper centrepiece.

We can, of course, wrap in your choice of wrap and label with your logo and text.

Triple Chocolate Pudding

Winner of 3 bronze great taste awards in the highly competitive chocolate dessert category.

Lots of dark, melted Belgian chocolate; superb, dark, French cocoa powder; liquid alcoholic chocolate in the form of crème de cacao, a good dollop of brandy and studded with dark chocolate chips just for good measure. It took a lot of versions to get the intensity of flavour and complexity of texture that we were looking for and we are proud of the result of our labours.

INGREDIENTS: Unsalted butter, free range egg, flour, dark Belgian chocolate (14%) fresh breadcrumbs, inverted sugar, caster sugar, dark brown sugar, milk, dark chocolate chips (3.5%), ground almonds, French brandy (0.75%), full fat cocoa powder (0.6%), crème de cacao (0.6%), baking powder, vanilla, potassium sorbate. Contains nuts, eggs, milk, wheat.

Citrus, Honey & Almond Pudding

Bright, sunny citrus and warm, mellow honey in our light, buttery, almond sponge. We make a rich English sponge enhanced with fresh breadcrumbs and ground almonds. We add shreds of fresh citrus zest gently poached in organic honey, toasted almond flakes, fresh citrus juice, luscious orange liqueur and a good measure of smooth calvados. Fabulous! Summer sunshine on a plate.

INGREDIENTS: Unsalted butter, free range egg, caster sugar, flour, fresh breadcrumbs, toasted almond flakes, ground almonds, organic honey, lemon zest, orange zest, calvados, fresh lemon juice, fresh orange juice, orange liqueur, baking powder, preservative-potassium sorbate. Contains nuts, eggs, milk, wheat.

Triple Ginger Pudding

Winner of a Gold Great Taste award 2006. Light, buttery ginger sponge laced with green ginger wine and studded with loads of buderim candied stem ginger. Masses of flavour but no harshness. One for ginger enthusiasts and ordinary mortals too. Perfect with ice cream.

INGREDIENTS: diced glace ginger (23%) , unsalted butter (15%) , free range egg, plain flour, fresh breadcrumbs, caster sugar, dark soft brown sugar, milk, invert sugar, green ginger wine (2.4%) , ground almonds, ground dried ginger, baking powder, vanilla, preservative - potassium sorbate.
